What We Do

No one, especially a young person, likes to be lectured about what he or she can or cannot do. We’ve taken a different approach, with drug education programs and materials that provide the facts and empower youth to choose not to take drugs in the first place.

Drawing on Experience

Based on decades of experience in drug education and prevention, the Truth About Drugs program effectively communicates the reality of drug abuse individually and through mass communication.

Because young people presented with the unvarnished facts about what drugs can do are far more likely to reject them on their own, Truth About Drugs is in high demand as an educational tool in schools, law enforcement units and community-based settings. More than 62 million educational booklets have been distributed, and PSAs have reached more than 260 million viewers in 123 countries.

We also provide materials and assistance to help you start a Truth About Drugs education and prevention activity in your area. This would include free drug education events, presentations, informational sessions and lectures to schools, after-school programs, community organizations, faith-based organizations and more.

Get started by browsing through our site and reading and sharing our drug education and prevention materials and initiatives.
