United Nations Convention & Foundation for a Drug-Free World

The Foundation for a Drug-Free World, the Americas Chapter held a convention at the United Nations in honor of the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime & Illicit Trafficking) International Day Against Drug Abuse. The Permanent Mission of Lesotho sponsored the convention. 

The State of Lualaba of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Permanent Mission of Haiti to the United Nations both supported the convention to discuss cultural sustainability and drug prevention's role, at the June 2nd, 2018 United Nations Convention. 

The President of the National Council of Drugs of the Dominican Republic, Ambassador Noella Nsamwa, Cultural Ambassador of the State of Lualaba of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Officials from New York City, Officials from El Salvador and Guatemala, and the Designer of All Flo Couture each were keynote speakers at the United Nations Convention.



Foundation for a Drug-Free World the Americas Chapter met with UNGASS (United Nations General Assembly Special Session), a special UN panel with the purpose of assessing and debating global issues such as health, gender, or in this case, the world's drug control priorities.
